Students wishing to request a course change prior to opening day may come to SJAM on Thursday, August 29th (8:30-2:00) to meet with any available guidance counsellor. Meetings are first-come, first-served – students will be assigned a number upon arrival and will wait to be called. Please use the course change request form (posted below). Carefully follow instructions on the form before bringing this to the school on the 29th.
FULL & CLOSED COURSES – UPDATED AUGUST 28TH:
Before making any course change requests, please make sure you review the lists posted below. Any courses that appear on these lists are not available for any course changes at this time (additions or moves to other sections). Course change forms may also not be used to request switches into pre-AP or AP classes. Guidance will not process change requests for any courses listed as full/closed.
FULL/CLOSED COURSES – NOT AVAILABLE FOR CHANGES, MOVES OR ADDITIONS
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MANY CORE/COMPULSORY COURSES ARE FULL AND CAN’T BE MOVED TO ACCOMMODATE SOME CHANGES. THIS WILL DIRECTLY IMPACT STUDENTS’ ABILITIES TO SWITCH CLASSES.
IMPORTANT – guidance counsellors will not be processing any course change requests prior to this date as they are busy completing new student registrations, etc. Students who can’t come to SJAM on this date may still submit change requests during the first week of school (deadline Thursday, Sept. 5th at 3:00pm).
No regular online appointment bookings will be available until after the first week of school.
