Semester 1 Open House/Meet the Teacher Night – Thursday, Oct. 9th

Semester 1 Open House Banner

We invite you to attend Laurel Heights’ Parent and Caregiver Open House on Thursday, October 9th from 5:30-7:30 pm – a chance for you to meet/greet LHSS staff and see your student’s learning spaces. This is a great opportunity to gain an understanding of your student’s day at school while exploring the environments and opportunities available to them.

Teachers can be found in their department areas and can answer questions about their courses, programming, and facilities. At this early point in the semester, we will not have specific information about student achievement or marks, but this is a chance to get to connect with your student’s teachers.

Teacher locators and school maps will be available upon arrival!  We hope to see you on October 9th!

Fall Harvest Dinner @ LHSS – Thursday, Oct. 30th

Fall Harvest Poster

Laurel Heights Student Leadership and Food/Nutrition programs formally invite you to our Fall Harvest Dinner on Thursday, October 30th. This special evening is a celebration of our community, the abundance of autumn produce, and—most importantly—our very talented students.

  • Doors will open at 5:30 PM for some casual indoor lawn games, with a seated dinner beginning at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria.
  • Tickets are $20.00 plus a non-perishable food item, with all food donations going to support families in need.

As October ushers in a season of various celebrations, it also highlights the reality of food insecurity faced by many families. Our Harvest Dinner offers an opportunity to come together in joy while extending support to our wider community. At the same time, it provides our students with a meaningful platform to showcase their learning in an authentic, real-world context—applying their skills with autonomy, creativity, and purpose beyond the classroom.
