Students requiring a change to your courses for the coming school year, please review details below (also posted to your “Class of” Google Classroom).
- Printed course change request forms will be available outside the guidance office as of Wednesday, Sept. 4th.
- No early change requests are possible due to new student registrations and final timetable processing before startup.
- Make sure you use the correct change form for your grade (colour-coded) as there are different submission dates per grade – see below (instructions will be posted outside guidance offices).
- Grade 12 Students – change requests open Thursday, Sept. 5th
- Grade 11 Students – change requests open Friday, Sept. 6th
- Grade 9/10 Students – change requests open Monday, Sept. 9th
FINAL CHANGE REQUEST DEADLINE (ALL STUDENTS) – Tuesday, Sept. 10th (11:30am)
- Make sure forms are completed in full and signed by a parent/caregiver before returning to guidance (use drop basket on Ms. Cressman’s desk in guidance office).
- Please review the posted “FULL/CLOSED COURSES” list (posted outside guidance or in Google Classroom) as these courses are not available for change requests at this time.
- Students should avoid “reach ahead” course changes requests (such as a grade 11 student requesting grade 12 courses) as these are likely not possible due to full classes and priority placement of at-grade-level students.
- Email requests for course changes will not be processed as forms/signatures are required for ALL changes.
- Guidance counsellors will notify students VIA EMAIL of the status of change requests (or call down students to guidance as required to discuss requests). Forms will be processed in the order received, but many change requests may take time to work through – please be patient.
- NOTE – guidance calendars are not open for students to book course change appointments during startup.
- Students are required to continue attending all current scheduled classes until any course changes have been confirmed, as some changes may not be possible due to full classes or schedule conflicts.
