Please congratulate SJAM grads Joel Jobby and Bettina Kapps, who were chosen as SJAM’s 2019-2020 Record Top Students!  The print feature will come out on June 27th!

Bettina is an incredibly well-rounded student who excels in both academics and extracurricular activities. She is an active member of the Dance Team, SJAM Executive Leadership, Best Buddies Club, and spends her spare time volunteering with students with special needs in the ACE classroom. Bettina approaches leadership roles with empathy, kindness, and compassion. She advocates for and is passionate about a variety of social issues. Bettina will be attending Wilfrid Laurier University in an Honours Arts double degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology, and minoring in Business.

Joel is a dedicated and hardworking leader, yet thoughtful and considerate. At SJAM, he was involved with student leadership for years, capably representing SJAM at CSLC and OSLC. His leadership culminated in his election as co-prime. Joel’s athletic participation included Track and Field, Cross Country, and Curling. He excelled academically, making the Honour Roll every year, while participating in math club and math circles. Joel was also a volunteer in his faith community, serving as both an alter server and Vacation Bible School instructor. And, he still managed to fit in employment with both Court at Laurelwood and Kumon. He will attend WLU for Data Science.
