CLASS OF 2020 GRADUATES
We want you to know we haven’t forgotten about you!
SJAM and the WRDSB recognize that commencement celebrations are crucial milestones in our students’ academic journeys. It is a time to acknowledge the accomplishments and hard work you’ve put forward in earning your diplomas and prepare for future pathways.
We still plan to celebrate you.
As you know, SJAM could not run our commencement celebration this past June due to COVID closures. This was deeply disappointing for staff and students. In an effort to recognize your achievements this fall, planning is currently underway at the board level to develop a concept for Commencement for all of the WRDSB Secondary Schools – something that will honour our graduates while adhering to current health and safety requirements.
Here is what we know so far:
- Commencement will be virtual this year
- The date for this board-wide event will likely be in November – more info to come
