SJAM Celebrates the Graduating Class of 2021:  Grad Week June 14 – 18th

Today, our board announced that its scheduled Virtual Commencement Graduation Ceremony would not be broadcast on Tuesday, June 24th.

Celebrating our graduating students is a priority for our students and for our school communities. SJAM’s Grad Committee – a group of a passionate and talented group of Senior Students and dedicated staff – have been  planning for SJAM’s Graduation Week to occur from June 14 – 18th.   Though the planning has been complicated by the present provincial government Stay-At-Home orders and strict Health and Safety directives, we are excited to celebrate and honour our graduates.  Already, some early information has been sent to our Grads and much more is forthcoming. Save the week and continue to check for updates on the Class of 2021 Google Classroom and @sjam_johnnymac instagram account as they become available.

We recognize  that SJAM’s Grad Week  cannot replace the type of Commencement event that we are accustomed to.   Our intent is to reimagine elements of our traditional June events within our planning.  With the innovative and creative thinking of students and staff, we are confident that we can offer memorable experiences for our students and their families that will align with directives from Public Health and WRDSB’s health and safety protocols.
