Alka Devi Ukrani on receiving the Silver Medal at the Canada Wide Science Fair!
Alka’s project, The Prevention of Agrobacterium Tumor Invasion in Plants and VIR Gene Expression – Mathematical Model, received the Excellence Award (Silver), sponsored by Youth Science Canada
The Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) is the country’s largest annual youth science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) event, bringing together top young scientists and their projects and is selected by their national network of over 100 regional STEM fairs in every province and territory.

Congratulations to Eric Xiao, Michelle Ma, Sophia Xie, Tejas Srikanth, Tian Chen and Zed Li who participated in University of Waterloo’s first virtual Canadian Team Math Contest. SJAM placed 6th out of 27 teams from all across Canada. Well done!
