Hello Parents of new to LHSS students who received chromebooks this September;

Thank you for your patience as we worked through our Chromebook supply issue and unusually high demand for devices this year.

We are still working to get a few more students their devices so stay tuned if you haven’t received your device yet. We will contact your student once their device is ready. this has been a key focus of our start up this year despite the other student account, password and network issues we have been working through as well.

The 1:1 Chromebook initiative means that every student in a WRDSB secondary school is to be issued one device to use throughout their secondary schoool experience. Students must turn in their device when they leave the WRDSB (transfer out of the WRDSB or graduate).

Upon getting the device it is important that parents acknowledge the receipt of the Chromebook and go over the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) with their student. There is also a lot of information available about the responsiblilities of the student when using the WRDSB network and the device’s care and mainetance and what to do if there is a problem with the device found in the links in the form below. Please complete the following form, if you haven’t already done so, and read through it carefully as it provides all the information and links that will help you and your student manage their loaned technology;

1:1 Chromebook Agreement Form for parent/guardian to complete.

We will be following up over the next few weeks if we havent recevied a response through the form above.

Note:  If your stduent needs assistance to problem solve an issue with your device that cant be solved at home, have your student complete this Chromebook Issues Ticket.
