LAUREL HEIGHTS GUIDANCE & WLU STUDENT SERVICES INVITE SENIOR STUDENTS & PARENTS/CAREGIVERS TO OUR “UNIVERSITY READINESS” PRESENTATION
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30TH – 6:30PM (LHSS AUDITORIUM)

Did you ever wonder what universities think about first-year student readiness?  Have you wanted the inside track to what they think makes students successful in post-secondary?  Would you like to support the transition from high school to university?

Please consider coming to our “UNIVERSITY READINESS” evening at Laurel Heights Secondary School.  Targeting primarily grade 12 students/caregivers, representatives from Wilfrid Laurier University will share what a typical week looks like in a university, what skills are needed for success including:

  • academics
  • social, emotional and overall “adulting” skills
  • how parents and caregivers can support, including how to let go

Please join us for the 1 hour presentation, with time for Q & A with LHSS guidance and WLU staff.
