Although students are not attending school in person on the Nov. 11th (Block C & D)  and 12th (Block A and B) Instructional Supports Days, we have been directed by the Ministry/Board that attendance is to be taken based on student engagement.  Students are expected to participate synchronously or asynchronously in each class based on their teacher’s direction. 

 

On the Instructional Support Days (Nov. 11 Block C & D/Nov. 12 Block A & B), a student is considered PRESENT if they have demonstrated to their teacher any of the following:  

  • student connects with their teacher
  • submits work 
  • logs in to the online classroom 
  • sends an email to the teacher
  • responds to a Google form tracking attendance
  • student attends in person (as previously arranged/booked with teacher due to exceptional circumstances)

 

All ACE students will be attending in person, attendance is to be taken as usual.

 

If your child does not demonstrate any of the above for their classes on the  Instructional Support Days, then the teacher is required to mark them absent and the dialler/phoner will call  home to notify you.
