The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is looking for 2024-25 Student Trustees to represent our 65,000 students at the Board table and through various committees.

  • Are you going to be in Grade 11 or 12 during the 2024-25 school year?
  • Do you have an interest in policy and governance?
  • Do you want to see change within WRDSB? 
  • Are you passionate about representing student voices at our Board table and across WRDSB?

If you answered ‘yes’ to most of these, the role of Student Trustee may be for you!

IMPORTANT – Pre-Election Seminar

The Pre-Election Seminar is an opportunity to learn about the role of Student Trustee. You’ll hear from current Student Trustees, Abdullah and Casper, about their experiences representing 65,000 students from across the WRDSB and about the process of becoming a Student Trustee.

  • This year, the seminar will be hosted in person and online on Tuesday, December 12, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Education Centre at 51 Ardelt Ave, Kitchener. 
  • While a virtual option is available, we highly recommend you attend this in person
  • The Pre-Election Seminar is mandatory for all students who wish to apply to be a Student Trustee. Registration closes on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 4:00 p.m
  • If you cannot attend, please email student-trustees@wrdsb.ca to receive the recording after the seminar.
