LHSS is pleased to once again welcome a number of post-secondary institutions this fall to share valuable information with our students.  During visits, students will have opportunities to connect with recruitment reps to learn about programs, admissions, campus life and more as they plan for possible pathways after high school.  Students may also have the chance to pick up viewbooks or other promotional materials to help inform their post-secondary planning.

Details regarding specific speakers or reps will be provided once available.  Further information will also be posted to our Class of 2025 Google Classrooms for graduating students.

UNIVERSITY PRESENTATIONS:

Our guidance department has organized a series of optional university information sessions for grade 12/graduating students (specific details posted below).  Students wishing to attend any of these sessions will be required to sign-up in advance (Google Form shared in the Class of 2025 Google Classroom) and notify their classroom teachers.  Attendance will be taken at each event.

  • Friday, Sept. 27 (period A) – Wilfrid Laurier University (LHSS Library)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 2 (period C) – University of Waterloo (LHSS Auditorium)
  • Tuesday, Oct. 29 (period B) – McMaster University (LHSS Library)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 30 (period C) – Western University
  • Thursday, Nov. 14 (period A) – Nipissing University (LHSS Conference Room)
  • Friday, Nov. 15 (period A) – Queen’s University (LHSS Library)

COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY FAIRS:

In addition to our school visits, students should consider attending the Ontario provincial and regional college and/or university fairs this October.  Specific times and event info is posted to the Class of 2025 Google Classroom.  Note – advance registration may be required for some events.
