Important news for any students wishing to sign up for a summer school credit this coming July…
Summer courses will run from Monday, July 5th to Thursday, July 29th inclusive and will be fully online. Students are expected to participate in approx. 5.5 to 6 hours of online classes per day (plus homework) – this differs significantly from current distance or hybrid learning models. Regular attendance is also strictly monitored. If you have plans during July that prevent you from meeting this time commitment (camps, summer job, etc.), you are NOT recommended to sign up for a course at this time.
If you did not complete the Google Course Submission Form that was due with your course selections OR did not initially indicate plans to enroll in summer school, please complete the Google Form posted to the Guidance Google Classroom on March 29th.
SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION DEADLINE – MAY 21st
Please note – many summer online classes have limited space, so students are strongly recommended to complete this form as early as possible. Classes could be full/closed prior to the deadline above, so don’t delay. Students wishing to sign up for summer co-op – only single credit co-op is available for July 2021 (DCO course).
The full list of WRDSB summer school course offerings is available in the Google form posted to the Guidance Google Classroom. NOTE – grade 9 courses are available only for current high school students (with the exception of the GLS1OI Learning Strategies course for grade 8s).
If you have any questions regarding summer school, please contact your SJAM guidance counsellor.
