EQAO Grade 9 Math Testing (Semester 2 – June 12th & 13th)

Laurel Heights will be participating in the grade 9 Math EQAO (Education Quality and Accountability Office) assessment this year. The assessment will evaluate the math skills students are expected to have learned by the end of the Grade 9 mathematics course. All students enrolled in math for this semester will participate in this province-wide evaluation.

The data collected is important to determine how Ontario students are performing in math across the province. Please note that this assessment will not be used as evidence of learning in the grade 9 math course and will not be a part of the report card grade. Classroom teachers have been preparing their classes to participate in the assessment.

Students will receive an individual report of their results prepared by the EQAO office in the fall of 2024. NOTE – successful completion of the Provincial Mathematics Assessment is not a diploma requirement.

The administration of the assessment will take place in the students’ math classes.

  • Session A (60 min): Wednesday June 12th during math class.
  • Session B (60 min): Thursday June 13th during math class

Please visit the following EQAO website for more information regarding the Grade 9 math EQAO assessment:  https://www.eqao.com/the-assessments/grade-9-math/

Thank you for your support throughout the semester by helping your child develop good work habits and effective study skills to succeed in mathematics.
