Summer Break 2024 – Report Cards, Diplomas, Office Hours & More

Happy summer holidays, Hurricanes and congratulations to all our graduates!
Now that the school year has come to an end, please check out details regarding summer hours!
TUESDAY, JULY 9th to THURSDAY, JULY 11th (8:00am-3:00pm)
FINAL SEM 2 REPORT CARDS – pickup in Main Office (enter school via front doors)

Students may only pick up their own report cards, etc. or have a parent/caregiver pickup on their behalf

If you are unable to pick up your materials during the dates above, you will have another opportunity during the last week of August after school staff return.
GRADS – diplomas/transcripts and student awards available in guidance office

Note – award winners please ensure you pick up your awards ASAP to avoid issues with stale-dated cheques (where applicable).
- Diplomas/packages can only be handed out directly to student (or parent/caregiver) – friends may not pick up packages on behalf of another student.

If you haven’t returned your WRDSB Chromebook or other loaned items, please bring these for drop off when picking up your diploma, etc.
SUMMER OFFICE CLOSURE – MONDAY, JULY 15th to FRIDAY, AUG. 23rd

LHSS is closed for summer break and office staff will return Monday, August 26th.

There will be no access to the school during these dates.
SEPTEMBER START-UP

Summer School 2024 – Important Reminders and Updates

Students who are registered for online or in-person summer school courses for this July, please take note of important schedule and course information!
- All classes run from Tuesday, July 2nd until Friday, July 26th (online or in-person) – weekdays only.
- Daily attendance is required and critical for success at summer school.
- All full credit summer school courses involve a minimum of 110 hours of content and instruction.
- All in-person classes will run daily from 8:30am to 3:00pm at Huron Heights Secondary School. Busing is provided to and from HHSS – see schedule here!
- Vacation or work should be scheduled outside of summer school hours due to time commitments required to complete courses.
- Students are not able to access online courses and/or WRDSB Google accounts if outside Canada.
If you require assistance for summer school (July 2 to 26), please contact the WRDSB Alternative and Continuing Education Office (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm).
