June Final Assessments & Evaluations Info and Schedule

FOR A COMPREHENSIVE, DETAILED OVERVIEW OF OUR FINAL ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION INFORMATION, PLEASE CLICK HERE!

During the pandemic, great strides were made to adapt assessment and evaluation practices to meet student needs. The return to a 70/30 split is an opportunity to take stock of what we have learned and refine these practices in service of fair and reliable evaluation of student learning aligned with Growing Success.  With regard to the 30% final evaluation, teachers have the flexibility to provide a variety of methods for students to demonstrate their growth, and confirm their learning.

The 30% final evaluation component should include product and non-product demonstrations of learning, such as conferences, exit interviews, performances, portfolios, demonstrations, projects and exams.  Exams should be used selectively, in combination with other methods of assessment, and in consideration of the demonstrations of learning that have already taken place throughout the semester. It is important to note that when working with the end in mind, teachers have flexibility in what evidence they will use to determine a final grade.
