Class of 2026 Commencement – Tuesday, June 16th

We are pleased to share information about the LHSS Class of 2026 Commencement Celebration
Tuesday, June 16th (7:00pm) at Kitchener’s Centre in the Square
EVENT DETAILS:
- Students planning to attend the celebration are required to purchase their commencement package via SchoolDay (includes cap/gown/commemorative 2026 tassel and commencement event fee)
- Refer to Gaspar’s Size Chart to assist you with gown ordering
- Please order your gown using our GOWN ORDER GOOGLE FORM (DEADLINE EXTENDED TO TUESDAY, APRIL 8TH!)
- NOTE FORM ONLY ACCESSIBLE VIA YOUR WRDSB ACCOUNT!
- Event tickets for family & friends will be available for online purchase via the Centre in the Square box office or in-person at the venue (assigned seating)
- IMPORTANT TICKET UPDATE – less than 500 seats available (as of April 15th)! Guests are recommended to purchase tickets ASAP!
- Our event has been near/completely sold out in recent years, so guests are recommended to purchase tickets early to avoid missing out
- More information about parking & student drop-off coming closer to the event date

A Message from the Region of Waterloo Public Health
Public Health has mailed Suspension Orders to all secondary students whose vaccination records remain incomplete. Students who receive a Suspension Order must have their vaccination records updated with Public Health, or they may be suspended from school. Updated records must be received by Public Health before 4:30 p.m. on Monday April 6, 2026 to avoid suspension.
Suspensions start on Thursday April 9, 2026 for students with incomplete records.
Act now by:
- Booking an appointment with your health care provider to receive required vaccinations
- Submitting your up-to-date vaccination records using Public Health’s online Reporting Form
If you have questions about the Suspension Order you received, please visit www.regionofwaterloo.ca/vaccines where you can:
- View a translatable version of the letter
- Report vaccine records
- Submit vaccine exemption forms
- Book a vaccine appointment (if eligible)
