OSSLT (Lit Test) Preparation April 2nd to April 9th

Grade 10 Students will participate in 5 preparation sessions before writing the 2024 OSSLT (literacy test). The preparation sessions for grade 10 students will occur in classes – please see the scheudle posted below.  Students are required to bring their charged Chromebooks for these sessions – a reminder that students must use a school device to complete the OSSLT.

In advance of our prep sessions, students are invited to check out the 2024 ONLINE LITERACY TEST GUIDELINES.

Grade 10 Preparation Sessions:

  • Tuesday, April 2 – Period A – Introduction to the Online Platform
  • Wednesday, April 3 – Period B – Exploring the test and the tools with practice test online
  • Thursday, April 4 – Period C – Practicing Multiple Choice and Reading short answer questions
  • Friday, April 5 – Period D – Practicing Writing tips for the series on paragraph
  • April 8 or 9 – period A – Practice Test

Drop-in Session (grades 10, 11 & 12):

  • NEW DATE (due to Eclipse schedule change) – April 9th, Room 1601 (11:00 am – 11:45 am)

Literacy Test Days: April 11 and 16

  • Location: Period A Grade 10 Homeroom class or Library (grade 11 or 12)
